Specialized Experience for GS-07:
Possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the Federal GS-05 level or higher, which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience at this level include, but are not limited to, evaluating, organizing, and controlling an agricultural business enterprise; providing financial, operational, or managerial assistance to an agricultural business; reviewing and analyzing agricultural, insurance, or statistical data; OR Education Substitution for the GS-07:
Completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major study in agriculture, agricultural economics, farm management, agronomy, horticulture, economics, law, or any other field directly related to the position to be filled; OR Combination of experience and education:
Possess a combination of education and experience as described above which totals at least 100% when combined. Specialized Experience for GS-09:
Possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the Federal GS-07 level or higher, which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience at this level include, but are not limited to, demonstrating fundamental knowledge of programs, policies, procedures and regulations applicable to agriculture, farming practices, risk management, insurance, reinsurance and/or their interrelationship with data quality management, validation reporting, and/or underwriting. It also includes fundamental knowledge of, and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature; assisting in assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of program systems and operations; and making recommendations for improvements; OR Education Substitution for the GS-09:
Completion of at least two full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education resulting in a masters or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a field of study in agriculture, agricultural economics, farm management, agronomy, horticulture, economics, law, or any other field directly related to the position to be filled; OR Combination of experience and education:
Possess a combination of education and experience as described above which totals at least 100% when combined. Specialized Experience for GS-11:
Possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the Federal GS-09 level or higher, which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience at this level include, but are not limited to, demonstrating a practical working knowledge of a range of concepts and principles, relating to agriculture sciences, management, insurance principles, risk management, statistical analysis, and actuarial/underwriting subjects, programs, policies, procedures and regulation applicable to agriculture. It also includes demonstrating knowledge of, and skill in applying and adapting analytical and evaluative techniques and methods to assess the effectiveness and efficiency and productivity of program systems and operations; and making recommendations for improvements; OR Education Substitution for the GS-11:
Completion of at least three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education resulting in a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited college or university with a major in agriculture, agricultural economics, farm management, agronomy, horticulture, economics, law, or any other field directly related to the position to be filled.; OR Combination of experience and education:
Possess a combination of education and experience as described above which totals at least 100% when combined. Specialized Experience for GS-12:
Possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the Federal GS-11 level or higher, which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience at this level include, but are not limited to, demonstrating knowledge of current procedures and practices used in the sales and service of crop insurance contracts in order to be aware of the impact underwriter determinations have on agency functions. Expert knowledge of a wide range of concepts and principles related to agricultural sciences agricultural risk management programs, agricultural statistical analysis, actuarial/underwriting for agricultural insurance products, or other programs, policies, procedures and regulations applicable to agriculture. The substitution of education is not qualifying for the GS-12 level. Time in grade:
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade (e.g. 52 weeks at the GS-09 grade level for consideration for the GS-11 grade level) or (52 weeks at the GS-11 grade level for consideration for the GS-12 grade level). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
