Position Overview
Taylor Insurance Serviecs is seeking a highly-organized and reliable Office Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the client services aspects of our businesses.
To thrive in this role, you'll need to love variety, work independently, communicate well and be super-organized. We are looking for a motivated individual with a proven track record in client service. The diversity of this role means you will be involved in many aspects of the company and will be a key part of a growing company.
Education/Experience Requirement
More than education, we are seeking someone with a commitment to excellence and experience taking care of the needs of others. Knowledge of Excel is a must, knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles would be nice to have, as well. Most important is that you have that indefinable quality of owning a task until it is done.
Required Skills
Minimum 5 years experience in managing other people in an office environment. No criminal record. Proficient in Microsoft Office, well versed in Excel. Ability to adapt and learn new software where deficiencies are identified. Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Thoroughness, Sharp, Go-getter.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
Developing Policies and Standards, Analyzing Information, Dealing with Complexity, Reporting Research Results, Data Entries, Business Operations, Resourcefulness, Time Management and Planning, Hitting Deadlines. Knowledge of Insurance terminology helpful.
Primary Functions
Data Entry:
basic data entry functions to keep internal systems updated and accurate;
Billing reconciliation:
Reconcile bills with amounts submitted, process payments with insurance carriers;
Generate Reports:
various forms required by managers and clients;
Perform Clerical Duties:
maintain files, mail, phones, general administrative work, shopping, shipping; other duties as assigned;
Property Management:
manage tenant and contractor relations on a growing collection of real estate holdings;
Assist with budget preparation and audits as necessary:
contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Its a salaried position where the buck stops with you. We work around family commitments, within reason. Work day is 8:
30, very rare weekend, or after-hours work.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
