Industrial Engineer

We are looking for an Industrial Engineer for our Valdosta, Georgia location. This Industrial Engineer will develop and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and lower costs, improve lead time, and drive improvement through the use of World Class (LEAN) principles and practices. This includes development, deployment and ongoing maintenance of key process indicators. This role provides leadership to Process Improvement and Process Control activities as well as efforts to improve safety.
Responsibilities:
Identify, create and maintain key process metrics (OEE, scrap, output, efficiency, etc) This may include collecting, recording, and evaluating process data as well as creating and posting reports to show results. Determine process consistency and capability of key processes Conduct process audits to review critical Process Variables and implement sustainable corrective actions for process shifts or upsets. Provide leadership to Process Improvements and Process Control activities and projects to improve production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers. This includes leading and/or participating in various World Class workshops (VSM, Kaizen, SMED, etc) Provide leadership to identify and eliminate root causes of scrap in order to reduce scrap levels. Maintain and improve safety of processes by minimizing and eliminating job hazards and participating in safety related activities. Provide daily process support to Manufacturing as required to address process related issues Participate in development of new products and product changes through creating new processes or changing existing processes
Qualifications:
B.S. degree or higher in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field Minimum of 3-5 years. Emphasis in discovering ways to improve the efficiency of manufacturing processes. Experience in reducing costs and eliminating production issues by implementing manufacturing processes that use lean methodology for process flow while also eliminating wastes and adhering to quality control procedures. Must have hands-on experience in six sigma. Strong Communication skills - both written and verbal, Analytical and Statistical skills, Strong Computer Skills, Problem Solving, World Class (LEAN), Ability to lead cross-functional teams. Change management, budgeting, quality, continuous improvement, educating and motivating people. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
